CLYMAN, Wis. Dodge County deputies are stepping up their patrols around a local cemetery with a reputation for paranormal sightings.

The Eagle Road Cemetery continues to attract unwanted attention, said town of Clyman Chairman Dave Blank.

Author Chad Lewis had included the site in his series "The Road Guide to Haunted Locations." He said there have been reports of apparitions as well as pockets of cold on warm nights.

The attention has led to ongoing vandalism problems, Blank said. The town board may raise the loitering fine from $200 to $1,000, he said.

According to the sheriff's department logs, deputies have been told to check the graveyard during all shifts.

The graveyard dates back to the 1800s. No one's been buried there in more than 20 years, Blank said.
