We get to meet

Chad Lewis and Terry Fisk!

The Further Travel Adventures of Laurie and Brad

02/01/08 - Blooming Prairie Chicken

Tonight we got to meet them and chat with them at some length. I want to tell you right here that they are two of the most patient and gracious fellows you could imagine. I get the feeling that they have gathered a lot of experience in carefully listening to people. This is an valuable skill in the task of learning about literally any kind of human experience.

Now they have written about more than just South Dakota! I am going to list just the books they have out now. On Sunday they are heading out to Florida to start researching a book for that state!

Now here is the thing about these books. These are the sort of books that you can either sit down with for a casual read about ghosts or that you can use to start your initial research in a serious investigation. I really believe that people interested in the paranormal on any level will benefit from these books. Somehow I have the feeling that someday Chad and Terry will come out with new editions of each of these books and, maybe, you could make the next contribution.

You can take that last statement anyway you want.

Chad Lewis has also written these other nifty books. These books were a sort of spin-off from their other research. As they would go through old newspapers they would randomly discover headlines and news stories that they just couldn't pass over. So Chad compiled them in these books and some interesting reading they are. Laurie and I have been just going through a few chapters in them and the topics range from ghosts and creatures to the just outright strange! These books are just plain fun!

At this same book signing we also had the luck to meet one of the people who works with Chad and Terry on their research; Tamara S. Gleason. She is a certified hypnotherapist and Reiki Master. I never underestimate people who practice Reiki. I have heard so many amazing stories of the things they can achieve with their practice. I even remember a couple of episodes of 'Ghost Hunters' where my two favorite plumbers told of having a Reiki practioner assisting them. We might have to post some contact information for her in a future update.
