Don't miss out on this free, fun,
and informative April program at the
Marathon County Public Library's
Wausau headquarters, 300 N. First
St.
Popular author Chad Lewis will
present a program at 1 p.m. April 23
at the Marathon County Public
Library on "Wisconsin Gangster
Hot-Spots of the 1930s." During that
turbulent decade, gangsters such as
Al Capone, Baby Face Nelson and John
Dillinger were active in Wisconsin,
robbing banks or hiding out from
police in resorts in Wisconsin's
Northwoods. Lewis will describe the
crimes committed by some of
America's most wanted, and the
hideouts where they enjoyed a brief
respite from their lives of crime.
Lewis will have copies of his book
for sale and signing.
Please join us at the Marathon
County Public Library, Wausau for
this program. The program is free
and open to the public.
Mike O'Connor and Sharyn Heili are
customer services librarians at the
Marathon County Public Library.
