Chad Lewis, author of
“The Minnesota Road Guide to Gangster Hot
Spots,” will speak at 7 p.m. Thursday at the
Shirley M. Wright Memorial Library, 11455
Fremont Street, in Trempealeau, Wis.
Lewis, perhaps best known
regionally for his paranormal research, will
preview his new book.
“(The gangster research)
is even weirder, in some respects, than some
of the ghost stories,” he said.
But Lewis also hopes to
hear regional gangster stories from those
who attend his talk as he researches a
Wisconsin version of his book.
“I’m hoping people will
come and tell me their stories, whether
about famous gangsters or not,” he said.
“Everyone has a story about a grandpa who
ran a still.”
The talk is free, and no
registration is required.
