Crookston, Minn. -
An author and researcher of all things paranormal will present “Haunted Locations in Your Own Backyard” at the Fosston Library on Tuesday, Jan. 27.
And one of the area places that Chad Lewis thinks is haunted? Well, it’s right here in Crookston, at McCall Hall at the University of Minnesota, Crookston, the oldest student residence on campus.
“I have received several reports from students living in McCall Hall who have had many odd things happen to them,” Lewis told the Times via email. “I get a lot of reports of doors and windows opening on their own, and most people who contact me feel as though they are being followed through the hall by some unseen presence.
“The main legend states that the hall is haunted by the ghost of a young woman who refuses to leave the building, even after death, yet I have not received any first-hand accounts of this,” he continued.
Lewis, author for Unexplained Research, LLC, co-wrote “The Minnesota Road Guide to Haunted Locations.” He’s also been featured on The Discovery Channel.
Tuesday’s presentation is free. It begins at 7 p.m.
