Author events announced for local libraries

The Mounds View, Roseville and Arden Hills library locations are scheduled to host presentations by published authors on different evenings this month.

At 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, at the Mounds View branch and at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, at the Roseville branch, author Josh Elder ("Mail Order Ninja" and "The Batman Strikes") will be discussing the art of creating comics, graphic novels and manga. He'll answer your questions and tell you everything you ever wanted to know about comics, ninjas and superheroes. Books will be available for purchase and signing after the presentations. The Mounds View branch is located at 2576 County Road 10. The Roseville branch is located at 2180 N. Hamline Ave.

At 7 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Arden Hills branch of the Ramsey County Library system, author and paranormal investigator Chad Lewis ("The Minnesota Road Guide to Haunted Locations") will discuss what are believed to be some of Minnesota's most haunted places. Lewis will listen to questions and ghost stories from others who attend this event, co-sponsored by Barnes and Noble Booksellers. Books will be available for purchase. The Arden Hills branch is located at 1941 W. County Road E2.
