The Reputed Phenomena:

People report hearing the sound of a phantom train whistle in an area where the railroad has not been in decades.

The Investigation:

The original Peck Station has been converted into a private home. In the backyard sits an original Northern Pacific Railway caboose. The railroad tacks are long gone, and the trains have not passed through this region in many decades. We were unable to find anyone who could provide a firsthand account of having heard the phantom train.
