Pleasant Prairie, Kenosha County, Wisconsin
At night you can hear the
moans and sighs of the unknown "John Does" and
"Jane Does" who are buried here with nobody to mourn
- The cemetery
is owned and maintained by the county of Kenosha.
- Indigent and
unknown persons were buried there between 1924 and 1972.
- Caution is
advised when walking in the cemetery as the ground is
settling because several of the wooden coffins have rotted
- We did note
the sound of some type of vehicle in the distance that could
easily be mistaken for "moaning."
